Yes, it's all your fault! 30 lashes with a soggy noodle!
LOL! Kidding.
You seem like a sweetheart. But unfortunately, this matter has gone beyond compensations, and exists as one of principle. It may serve as an example for others on the site now. This person appears to have stolen art several times, and whatever creativity he possesses is sorely mitigated by this. Further, he had more than a year to come forward, and undo his transgressions. Instead, he chose to take bow after bow, with nary a tip of his hat to those whom he is indebted to.
I'm sorry that other DA members have taken it upon themselves to jump on him. I didn't ask for that. I elected to air things publicly to sound a more resounding note, and to alert others to this sort of ongoing offense. What's 'unfair' is how most of us abide by the stated rules, and the common sense courtesies, while others think they are somehow above the system. The response of the other site members is commensurate with their empathy, their channeled frustration, and their refusal to tolerate this behavior anymore.
It's a hard lesson, but a necessary one.
Thank you, Ms. Tomlinson. I don't want any money. You're completely innocent in this, and I'm glad you liked the art. The guilt does not belong to you.

"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. And you have burned so very, very brightly, Roy. ...revel in your time!"
With all respect for your skill as an artist and completely understanding your anger as someone who has had images ripped off in the past (although obviously not on the same level) I feel Chris' picture is creative in its own right. And the print thing is entirely my fault as I requested he make it available as a print otherwise he probably wouldn't have done so.
At the time I was not aware of the source of the pose as I had not seen your gallery and if that's where it came from then acknowledgment should have been given and the prints should not have been offered.
Again you're an incredibly skilled artist but I feel your reaction by outing him so publicly, while entirely understandable, is in some ways a little extreme given the level of vitriol now being directed towards him when a PM might have resolved the issue quickly and quietly.
I take no offense if you disagree with anything I've said above as it's your work involved and not mine. I would be happy to duplicate the payment made for the print to yourself if it would calm things down a little.
A shame you bought a print from the rip-off artist, Chris Rawlins, who stole that Iron Giant image from me. This sort of disgusting behavior should never be encouraged, and should be condemned when brought to light.
